Directions from I-20/I-59 Take exit 125A for 17th Street toward Downtown.
Turn right at 17th Street North. Turn right at 4th Avenue North

Directions from I-65 Take exit 260B for 3rd Avenue North. Merge onto 11th Street North. Turn right at 5th Avenue North. Turn right at 17th Street North. Turn right at 4th Avenue North.


Acess:  Taste of 4th Avenue Jazz Festival is a free event.

Coolers are permitted at the festival. Please note food vendors will be available.

Seating   Bring a lawn chair as festival area is located on the streets of  4th Avenue.

Parking is located on the streets near 4th Avenue North & 18th Street. Please
secure your vehicle as festival organizers are not responsible for stolen property.
Security will be present throughout the 4th Avenue District.

Umbrellas Only allowed  in the up position between acts and must come down while artists are performing. Please wear a hat and bring sunscreen because shade is limited.

Smoking No smoking will be allowed under the tented areas and VIP area. Please be considerate of your non-smoking colleagues.

Music Workshop Saxophonist Paul Taylor will host a music education workshop on Saturday from
9 – 11 a.m.  at the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame/ Carver Theatre. This workshop is free and open to any interested parties. Please stop by and hear this professional artist as he engages our youth on various aspects of the music industry.

CD Sales  Each artist’s CDs will be on sale in the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame located at 1631 4th Avenue North.

CD Signing & Sales Each artist will sign and meet the fans in the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame tent after each performance. Photos with artists are permissible. 

The official 2011 Jazz Festival design by renowned artist Dr. Ronald S. McDowell is available as a Jazz Festival T-Shirt in the Merchandise Tent.

Cameras are permitted for still shots but no videotaping allowed of shows as per artist contracts.

ATM Machine For your convenience, an ATM machine is located at Citizens Trust Bank, 1700 3rd Avenue North.
