This year’s festival brings traditional and contemporary jazz to the streets of the city’s downtown Historic Fourth Avenue District, giving the community just a taste of the rich cultural heritage of the area. The Taste of Fourth Avenue Jazz Festival is a dynamic event featuring local and nationally renowned jazz artists. The festival is a community event providing first class entertainment, a diverse selection of food vendors, and an arts village for everyone to enjoy. Business merchants include Urban Impact, Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame-Carver Performing Arts Theater, Green Acres Café, Masonic Temple , and Magic City Barber Shop. Past festival performers have included Cleve Eaton, Ronnie Laws, Birmingham Heritage Band, Foxxy Fatts & Company, Daniel “Jose” Carr, Jr., Eric Essix, On Purpose, Bo Berry, Tekneek, and Dee Lucas.
